Sponsorships

To give something back, Total Access is involved in many sporting events and selected Cancer Awareness charities, as well as several projects which are supported by our local branches to assist their local communities and sports clubs.  We also have custom built bbq's that we regularly take to site for customer breakfasts and local sporting events.  See below to see who we are proud to be supporting!

Team Asphire - Ben Wilson / Aaron Lambourne

Team Aspire was set up for the sole reason of bringing in inexperienced youth into racing, and developing them through the basics of the sport, onto the national championships and hopefully preparing them for their international representation. The team was established two years ago with two riders in the 125GP class, that culminated in taking our young riders from lowly placed beginners through to 2nd and 6th in the national championships. Allowing one of the riders to race in the highly competitive BSB championships in the UK.

This year with backing from Total Access the team has taken on two new riders, who are both making their track debuts this year. 14 year old Ben Wilson from Clevedon, and 15 year old Aaron Lambourne from Hamilton.

Both have shown some great potential racing against people often nearly twice their age, and vastly more experienced. Of the recent early rounds they have managed to get placing’s in the top half of the field, and are showing improvement with every race.

The pair will continue with the summer series races, and will develop on to be ready for the full national series next year as part of their development programme.

The team are grateful for the  support from Total Access for this type of venture, which without would not be possible and is virtually unique in NZ as it is supporting young racers at the start of their journey.

Auckland Rescue Helicopter Trust

Total Access is proud to support the ARHT on a annual basis.  For the 2015/2016 year, we will be a 'Mission Sponsor' supporting one full off-peak accident or medical emergency. The ARHT ensures that the communities of the greater Auckland region have the security of a professional, efficient, emergency air ambulance, search and rescue service available to them anytime.

A brief update on their current position:

  • They are still operating at the same capacity with 2 full time helicopters & remain NZ’s only on-site, fully-crewed, 24/7 air rescue service
  • Auckland City Hospital ED trauma doctors remain on roster as crew, and they now carry blood on board for the first time
  • Average mission cost is approx. $7,500 during peak periods.  The helicopters can do upwards of 10 missions a day combined
  • Last year they exceeded 1000 missions for the first time in the history of the service
  • Still no direct central Government funding, plus local funding hiatus continues
