EWP Operator Training

Total Access provides EWP Operator, Harness and Fall Arrest training to either small or large groups.  All training programmes and procedures are approved by the following entities:

  • IPAF (International Powered Access Federation);
  • EWPA (Elevated Work Platform Association);
  • The Department of Labour and NZOSH (New Zealand Occupational Health & Safety)

All courses are held at our branches in Auckland (Penrose), Waikato (Te Rapa) and Wellington (Seaview).  Onsite courses can also be arranged by request for large groups if required.

Do you need a License to operate Elevated Work Platforms?

Licensing is not mandatory in New Zealand, however the Health and Safety Act requires every individual operating EWP machines to be competent in the safe operation of the machines.

Why EWP Training is Essential

  • Giving your team professional Elevated Work Platform training is part of taking all practicable steps to ensure Employee safety whilst working at heights.
  • Training increases confidence and gives awareness of possible hazards that would likely be missed prior to the training.
  • Most large companies are insisting on contractors having a recognised qualification.
